Raytheon was awarded an $8.9 million contract by the U.S. Air Force for
upgrading secure communication on E-4B aircraft.
Contract work will be performed at Raytheon’s facility in Largo, a U.S.
Department of Defense statement said.
The E-4B aircraft serves as the National Airborne Operations Center for the
president, secretary of defense and the Joint Chiefs of Staff in case of
national emergency. |
