There are many blood sucking wall street bankers... But there are many more
honest people, including many Chinese families, who makes more than a
quarter of million dollar a year through honest ways.
The social welfare system will bankrupt this country just like many others
we have witnessed.

just like many Latin American countries. All the first world countries have
the same or better social welfare system than what US does.

Don't get me wrong. I believe in some minimum social safety net. But beyond
that, nothing can replace a free enterprise system...at least no one has
found one yet.
To tell the truth, if people don't do well in China, it's probably ok for
them to blame the society. In the States, there are plenties of
opportunities... I have seen so many success stories among first generation
Chinese immigrants. If they can make it, why cannot others? |

better overall quality of life and fairness of society than Americans do.

it's far better than pure capitalism.

Greece, and even France? Overall, Europe is in decline at a faster pace than
US.
The reason why socilism works in some Northern European countries is that
they have a long tradition of sharing and few people tried to take advantage
of the system.
In US, the tradition is so summarized as the so-called "American dream",
which basically means becoming successful on your own merit through hard
work and talent. Also there's a large population of people who do not try
hard and want to rig the system at any cost. A welfare society will bankrupt
the country.
Personal accoutability is very important. Only those try hard deserve to be
saved.
