An Illinois jury took only two and a half hours Friday to find a Chicago dad
guilty of the gruesome 2008 murder of his 9-year-old daughter.
Richard Lyons, 45, at first claimed little Mya Lyons was abducted, strangled
, stabbed and left for dead in an alleyway after she encountered a would-be
burglar late at night on July 14, 2008. Richard Lyons even presented himself
as the hero, bringing his dead daughter’s body to the hospital, claiming
he’d found her and needed help.
