Can say we didn’t see this coming. From back in June:
As many as 15 Somali-American men have left their homes in Minnesota in
recent months to travel to the Middle East and join up with ISIS, the
jihadist army at war with Syria and Iraq, according to Minnesota Public
Radio.
The fighters appear to have made the decision to go fight with Islamic
State of Iraq and Syria/Levant while the terror group was fighting to
overthrow Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad, but some may now be in Iraq,
where the marauding group is seeking to topple Baghdad.
“A Muslim has to stand up for [what's] right,” Abdirahmaan Muhumed
told MPR News through a series of Facebook messages dating back to the
beginning of the year. “I give up this worldly life for Allah.”
And he came through on his promise.
Sources tell Fox 9 News a second Minnesota family has received word that
a man who left the Twin Cities has died fighting with the terror group ISIS
in Syria.
At about 9 p.m. on Wednesday, leaders in the Somali-American community
heard that State Department officials notified a Minneapolis family that a
second American was found among the dead militants. According to Fox 9
sources, Abdiraaman Muhumed — who was the focus of an MPR story just two
months ago — died in the same battle as Douglas McCain, a former
Robbinsdale-Cooper High School student.
If we were serious about fighting these animals the authorities would be
crawling all over the Somali community in Minnesota. But we’re too afraid
to offend anyone we sit on our hands as these savages plot our demise. Heck,
we have the media publishing stories in advance telling us their plans and
yet nothing is done. Meanwhile, State Department spokesidiot Jen Psaki is
all over it:
KMSP-TV in Minneapolis reported that Muhumed was killed in the same
battle as Douglas McArthur McCain, who grew up outside Minneapolis in the
town of New Hope and most recently lived in San Diego. The State Department
confirmed McCain’s death earlier this week, but spokeswoman Jen Psaki said
Wednesday that the U.S. has no independent confirmation of the second
American’s death. “We’re looking into it,” she said.
They’re looking into it. Hopefull someone lets Obama know before he heads
out for some fundraising. |
