The Home News Tribune had a completely false headline on the front page Jan.
14.
It read “NJ immigrants fear round ups.” No they do not. Legal immigrants
like my fiance and my grandfather fear nothing of the kind. It is an insult
to them to compare them to illegal aliens that broke the law to get here,
who do not pay taxes, and have no desire to be part of the American way of
life. Many do not even try to learn how to speak English.
The only people who have anything to fear are the people who broke the law.
This is the same in every country. They steal our services by putting their
kids in our schools, and they use our roads, but never pay for them. Many
ship all of their profits back to their country. All of these things are a
drain on our society.
美国欢迎合法移民，这些人守法、珍惜美国。America welcomes immigrants that
come here legally, who obey the law, and cherish the day they become an
American. 把非法入侵的和守法移民（是对后者的侮辱）。Comparing an illegal
undocumented alien to a productive, proud immigrant is an insult. Your paper
should apologize to all immigrants.
