Snopes and various other fact-checkers have already refuted this one. There
is an anti-Sanders meme that tries to assert that he is a hypocrite for not
paying his interns $15/an hour. But the meme omits this fact: he pays his
CONGRESSIONAL INTERNS $12, the approved wage that congress pays its interns
; in addition, it should also be noted that many congresspeople treat
interns as volunteers and don't pay them at all. But Mr. Sanders'
presidential campaign staff, by all accounts, are well-compensated for their
time, and yes, they do make at least $15 an hour. He does have some unpaid
volunteer staff too. Bottom line: no hypocrisy here. Just a meme that did
not look at the facts.
