that Donald Trump has clinched the Republican presidential nomination.
Clinton similarly solicited funds early this month when Trump become the GOP
's presumptive nominee following decisions by his last rivals to drop out of
the race.
Trump officially clinched the nomination earlier Thursday when multiple news
outlets reported that he had reached the necessary 1,237 delegates. He was
expected to reach the number as late as June 7, when 303 delegates are up
for grabs in five state primaries. |
