A Republican proposal to delay gun sales to individuals included on a
government terror watch list failed in a mostly party-line vote of 53-47.
The measure was sponsored by Texas GOP Sen. John Cornyn. The bill would
allow a judge to permanently block a purchase if the court determined
probable cause that the individual is involved in terrorist activity.

TX-R Cornyn bill 做了这些，而且在宪法的框架下，（不想猪党的几个提案都是违宪
的），NRA 支持，还不是给猪党的票给否了。
猪党不是想解决问题，就是一帮卑鄙权臣。

This is laughable. I am sure the court will determine the probable cause
after the terrorist suspects kill several dozens people.

firearm. DOJ has to demonstrate probable cause to court in 3 days to deny
the sale, which is a very high bar if you know anything about american
judiciary system.
Thus according to Cornyn bill, if you are too dangerous to fly, you can
still buy firearm.

essential difference. The government could abuse its power to stop a citizen
from flying but it should not be allowed to do the same to take a citizen's
constitutional right away. Only court can do so, this is what the
constitution says.
