presidential nominee Tim Kaine, but ended up coming off a little awkward.
Strickland, introducing Kaine, described him as "a wonderful and prepared
person to be the president" if it became necessary, The Associated Press
reported.
While replacing the president in a time of crisis is indeed a responsibility
of the vice president, the timing was awkward considering the recent
speculation surrounding Hillary Clinton's health after she fell ill at a 9/
11 memorial Sunday.
Fox News learned Monday from multiple campaign sources that more than half a
dozen top Clinton campaign staff have been sickened by a bug in recent
weeks.
Some of Clinton's staff have had to visit the hospital, while others have
only recently recovered, including some who have been travelling on her
press plane, sources told Fox News' Jennifer Griffin.
Campaign manager Robby Mook recently recovered, but campaign sources told
Fox News he fears whatever bug he had may be coming back.
Communications director Jen Palmieri was out sick Monday, but deputy
communications director Kristina Schake is recently back at work.
"There is a bug that's been going around the office, no indication it's
related to her being sick," a campaign spokesman told Fox News Monday.
