Polls close relatively early in Pennsylvania. Here's how to dope out the
entire election from this one jurisdiction. You must wait until at least 40
% of the statewide vote is in -- and there must be roughly equivalent
percentages reported from Philadelphia and the "Collar" Counties vs. the
upper and western tiers of the State. Ignore altogether exit polls and
projections.
If Trump wins the state with 52% of the vote or better, you can go to bed.
He is the winner. Period. Sweet dreams.
If Clinton wins the state with 53% of the vote or better, you can go to bed.
She will be the winner. Period. Fitful nightmares will ensue, no doubt.
If Trump's percentage of the vote in Pennsylvania is 51% down to 48%, it
will be a long night before the winner is known. Break open a keg, and
order up some pizzas. Call in to work sick for Wednesday.
