Writer and researcher Sarah Kendzior unearthed a comment Ms. Trump made in
Aug. 2006 in the “Quotables” section of The Chicago Tribune:

“If he wasn’t my father, I would spray him with Mace.” -Ivanka Trump,
24, the daughter of Donald Trump, on her father’s complimenting her figure
on a talk show and then joking that he would date her if he weren’t her
father.
“Never saw much reporting on Ivanka’s response to Trump saying he wanted
to date her,” Kendzior tweeted, Thursday morning.
Ms. Trump wasn’t saying the same just a few months ago.

“My father’s comments were clearly inappropriate and offensive and I’m
glad that he acknowledged this fact with an immediate apology to my family
and the American people,” she said after the “Access Hollywood” video
