Asked for evidence supporting Trump's claims, spokesman Jason Miller cited a
2012 Pew Research study showing 1 in 8 voter registrations is inaccurate or
invalid.
He also pointed to a 2014 Washington Post study that said 14 percent of
noncitizens could be registered to vote.
The Post's fact-checkers later noted some academics questioned the validity
of the study.
