Full disclosure: I'm not much a fan of military service anymore, having left
USAF after 8 years in once I understood I was Jamie Dimon's unwitting
mercenary.
That said, a young man who once took my class came to see me this week after
a TDY assignment in Korea, one which followed a combat tour in Kandahar
Province, Afghanistan.
We didn't talk politics, we'd gone over that years ago, when I tried to talk
him out of enlisting. He knows where I stand and he made an informed
decision, knowing the risks. The man just wanted to be an American
infantryman, it was his boyhood dream. GI Joe was all he ever wanted to be,
he was very clear about that.
We talked about his first experiences being under fire: the fear, the
adrenaline high, the effectiveness of the M240, and losing the OIC to mortar
fire. The boy I used to know has been replaced by a seemingly much older
man, now. One who understands sacrifice and service, even if we can't agree
on the war or who it benefits.
And not agreeing does not matter. I am very proud of him, he loves the
United States of America from the bottom of his heart, and is willing to die
for it.
After spending two hours talking with him, and listening to all that he has
seen and done, it was hard for me to return to the current crop of
underclassmen, the overwhelming majority of whom are mainland Chinese, their
parents loyal Communists paying tuition, room, and board from the loot they
've stolen over the years. Decades, even.
I have never seen and never heard of even one of these Chinese students
serving in the US Armed Forces, or expressing ANY affection for the United
States. I have heard not a single word of gratitude for all of the benefits
they've so lavishly enjoyed here, much of it courtesy of the American
taxpayer.
We need to end these wars, and give the young men who fight them an
opportunity for a peaceful and prosperous future. It goes without saying
that hanging the members of the Fed by the neck with piano wire attached to
a streetlight is the first step in this process. We have to have sound money.
But we also need to stop subsidizing the Chinese, who offer us nothing at
all of value. Get our manufacturing out of their country, kick them the Hell
OUT of ours, and stop selling them food. Communists should starve to death,
IMO.
Mainland Chinese are medieval savages; lying, stealing, uncivilized scum.
Let's take care of our OWN workers, our OWN students, and yes, our OWN
servicemen, and kick these mangy lowlifes the out of our economy, our
society, and our nation.
STOP underwriting Communists. Period. | f**********n

underclassmen, the overwhelming majority of whom are mainland Chinese, their
parents loyal Communists paying tuition, room, and board from the loot they
've stolen over the years. Decades, even.
I have never seen and never heard of even one of these Chinese students
serving in the US Armed Forces, or expressing ANY affection for the United
States. I have heard not a single word of gratitude for all of the benefits
they've so lavishly enjoyed here, much of it courtesy of the American

We need to end these wars, and give the young men who fight them an
opportunity for a peaceful and prosperous future. It goes without saying

中间的差别，所以把台裔分开实在有其必要。这不是什么民族认同、民族情感，也不是
什么统独问题（那是千里之外的问题），而是在美台湾人实实在在的利益问题、生存问
题。即使我们也是华人，但在美国的政治与社会观点里，来自中国的华裔与台湾的华裔
有着极大的差别，受到的待遇也不同，台裔美人必须争取公平的待遇。

到“欢迎某某某回家”的横幅。大头兵也就罢了，西点军校里的学生很多都是有头有脸
的家族出来的。西方传统上军人就是贵族，这与中国的好男不当兵是不同的。

社会多元化了，社会升级的方法多了，例如去华尔街或者当律师也是一条路子，但还是
有很多富贵之家以从军为荣。

你是为了钱，而不是为了美国。

爱不爱国跟屁民没有关系。
卖都没的卖，还爱啥？ 就算你爱别人也不稀罕。穷人有的就那么一点点爱，真心，，
其实用在家里人身上就行了， 不要随便浪费不关心你的国家上.

从军和利益是相关的，富贵子弟从军其实就是为了利益，
无它。在罗马早期，非公民或地位低的基本上没资格从军，
就算从了也就是个后勤后备啥的不可能让你打主力。
后来热兵器时代，从军当炮灰的多了，富家子弟从军的就
越来越少了，就算从了的，多半也只是装个B而已，还荣
个J8 荣。比如毛太子小布什这种。

瞎扯吧? 美國總統或候選人哩, 如果有打過仗的, 絕對都是標榜他們參加過甚麼戰役,
例如老布什飞过韩战战斗机, John Kerry 上过越战战场等等，從沒聽過某人把空有军
衔却没打仗的“事迹”拿出来宣传。原因就是没打过仗，是没有政治资本可捞的。

梅竹马的未婚妻结婚。婚礼很隆重，但婚礼双方没有一丝喜庆之意。这个是真的炮灰。
