During my 60+ year lifetime I've witnessed several developments that have
benefited not just civilization generally, but our individual lives
specifically: the far greater accuracy of weather forecasting, the
revolution in medicine and health care, the enhanced power, reliability, and
efficiency of the automobile, to name just a few.
But for all this genuine progress, there's been one glaring step backward,
and what a stumble it's been: the precipitous decline in the quality of
journalism, as evidenced not just by its overall sloppiness investigating
and writing what it deigns to describe, but by its obvious and shameless
bias while doing so. America's once free press has become willingly
enslaved to the permissive left, and is too shortly shackled to it even to
see its way out of the dungeon it's locked itself in.
This all comes down to the fact that Senator Feinstein and her judicial
colleagues sat on a letter from a potential sexual assault victim purely to
politicize sexual assault in order to pull off a character assassination. It
is disgusting regardless of your politics. Politics may be a blood sport
but Feinstein and her colleagues are crass, unethical human beings and this
judge and the women are further victimized by them.
This isn't about partisan bitterness. This is about outright character
assassination by the LEFT. At this point the LEFT appears to be willing do
anything to preserve their agenda. The fear and anger of the LEFT (I am
referring to you Chuck) will only further mobilize the American conservative
base in November.
I am shocked and ashamed for the Democratic Judiciary Committee members
regarding the positions and statements made regarding the current nominee
for the Supreme Court.
The defamation of the nominee is against the doctrines of the Constitution
and rule of law. Perhaps they have lost perspective after the Republican
management of the Obama nomination process. This is not an excuse. Two
wrongs don't make a right. Someone said, Democrats take the high road.
We've seen you state your unanimous position against the nominee prior to
any allegations.
We've seen you keep knowledge of the first allegation secret until all other
objections failed.
We've seen you make ridiculous and inappropriate statements about believing
unsubstantiated claims without facts.
Why do you destroy your reputation and that of the U.S. Senate? Might it be
that as a Progressive you desire to change the U.S. by judicial activism
rather than constitutionally defined methods?
