Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s denial of sexual assault
allegations after voting to confirm the judge earlier this month.
“He was very persuasive,” Flake said during an appearance on ABC’s “The
View” on Tuesday.
“I don’t know. I don’t know. I wish I had the certitude that some of my
colleagues expressed. But I said on the [Senate] floor before that hearing,
we’re likely to hear the hearing with as much doubt as certainty. And that
’s how I felt afterwards,” he said.
Flake then said that there was no corroboration to back up Christine Blasey
Ford's allegations that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her at a party when the
two were in high school.
“If the mere allegation with no corroboration is sufficient to disqualify
someone, we’ve entered a new phase that we probably don’t want to enter,”
Flake continued.
“The View” co-host Sunny Hostin then asked the senator if he believed Ford
’s accusations.
“I don’t know,” Flake responded. “I don’t know if I believed him either
.”
Flake did describe testimony from Ford to the Senate Judiciary Committee as
"very compelling."
Flake was seen as a critical vote during the confirmation fight. |

光明投赞成票。说明她不相信kavanaugh性侵。Flake投了赞成票，又说不能确定。他这

投反对票是因为以后还要跟党打交道.倒是那些确定Kavanaugh干了坏事或者清白的,考
虑更多的是本党的利益. |
