| e*******e 发帖数: 1 | 3 Comparing Houston to Katy and Fort Bend seems to be your favorite. Do you
know the difference between Houston, Fort Bend and Katy? I bet you do, and
you just don't want people to know. Comparing Houston to the other two is
like comparing Los Angeles to Malibu and San Marino. Though both the latter
are within twenty or just a few miles from LA, their cases per million
population are only 49,380 and 34,650, respectively, compared to LA's 146,
130.
Below are a few quotes from wiki about Houston, Katy and Fort Bend. You
tell us if it is a fair comparison.
1. "The median household income (of Houston) in 2019 was $52,338 and 20.1%
of Houstonians lived at or below the poverty line."
2. "Katy ... a median household income of $83,091. ... and 3.7% of its
population lived at or below the poverty line."
3. "In 2015, Fort Bend County became Texas's wealthiest county, with a
median household income of $95,389 and a median family income of $105,944,
surpassing Collin and Rockwall Counties since the 2000 census." | e*******e 发帖数: 1 | 4 Not to mention that cumulatively Houston isd is still doing a lot better
than Katy and Fort Bend. | e*******e 发帖数: 1 | 5 YOu really 睁眼说瞎话.
Houston isd has 196,171 student enrollment, 2,693 cumulative confirmed cases
, stduents and staff combined, and 962 combined active cases. So its
cumulative and active cases, per million students, are 13,728 and 4,904,
respectively.
The corresponding numbers of Katy are 83,241, 3,738, 695, 44,906, and 8,349,
respectively.
The corresponding numbers of Fort Bend are 77,223, 4,445, 302, 57,561, and 3
,911, respectively.
So in term of cumulative cases per capita, Katy is 3.3 times as bad as
Houston, and Fort Bend is 4.2 times as bad.
In term of active cases per capita, Katy is 1.7 times as bad as Houston, and
Fort Bend is 20% better than Houston.
How the hell can you conclude that Houston is worse than the other two? Don
't forget that the other two are also a lot richer than Houston. |
