Native american tribes have been actively trying to suppress and discredit
research into early(er) inhabitation of the americas.
Newer research is suggesting that the earlier migration waves were wiped out
by the succeeding ones. Possibly through conflict, but more likely due to
disease.
All of a sudden they are no longer victims but just another group of people
who did the same thing as groups in the rest of the world.
