prices have surged 30% this year to a record high.
The active Soybean contract on the Chicago Board of Trade recently ended at
$17.69 a bushel. That surpassed the previous high of $17.68 a bushel set in
September of 2012, when the crop was hit by a massive drought.
Soybeans are important components of biofuels, food, and animal feed. They
are fed to chickens and salmon, as well as pigs and cows, and crushed to
make cooking oils and biofuel.
Traders are closely watching weather patterns in the midwest, particularly a
lingering La Niña weather pattern that is expected to bring hot and
dry conditions to the Corn Belt. A prolonged hot and dry period could damage
soybean production, pushing prices even higher.
Soybean crops in Argentina and Brazil are also expected to be lower this
year than last year, adding to price pressures.
The rise in soybean prices have followed big jumps in wheat and corn prices
that have risen as Ukraine and Russian crops have been curtailed because of

现在的生产链，农业还在石化业的下游。几年秋季才是粮食价格起飞，肉类价格已经飞
了一段，还要随着农作物价格再飞一次。
基本原则就是拿最低工资的人的实际收入水平必须降低到2018年前，最低工资开始上涨
前的水平。
