If you check the history of other organizations, not many of them are still
around and growing after 12 years :)
Back in 1995, when the USTC Alumni Foundation was founded, MITBBS
was not even around. USTCAF was born on a crude mailing list (named
ustc85-L) with about 100 USTCers. Many people (including non-USTCers)
hang out on a crude BBS created by Prof. Zhang Shangyou(771) back then.
There were wars among universities on that BBS as well :)

这个显然是托儿。早就找好人家捐款了吧？嗬嗬
估计是个数学系在华尔街混的大款，学号是8501XXX
是不是这位大拿打算建一串基金，编号从01开始
整篇文章是个很有魄力的行动纲领，令人佩服

some research on AF's history and stated future goals --
that's why it sounds just like an action plan.
