i.e. those donating above certain amount -- but the program
was discontinued 5 years ago -- due to the concern of high
operating cost. Many alumni actually declined to receive the
T-shirts and want every penny to go to make difference for
AF award programs.
Some leftover T-shirts (with USTCAF logo) were "sold" to
USTCAA in Silicon Valley -- for those living in Silicon Valley
and attending our annual picnic in the summer, you may see

还是应该做吧，毕竟目标应该是增大总资金，未必overhead一定要最小。
还有记得以前科大商店里有印有科大标志的T-shirt,如果能搞一批来美国卖也可以啊，
还有宣传USTC的作用。

itself is a special attraction for USTCAF to solicit increasing
number of donations :)
Maybe a good compromise is for those interested in USTC souvenirs
to visit USTC once in a while, give a seminar on your research or
business, and buy a USTC T-shirt at gift shop :)

发帖数: 43 | 13 个人认为operation cost的份额太小也未必是好事, 比如宣传之类的费用该花的还是要
花.最近学校好像在准备50年大庆,其中一个举措就是组织校内志愿者收集各届校友的资
料.我觉得校友会可以联系一下学校,看看是哪个机构负责这个事情,如果能够把学校各
届校友的联系方式,email list之类的拿到手,那么将来搞什么宣传活动就很容易了.
做T-shirt完全可以以赢利为目的,我觉得很多校友都很乐意把买T-shirt当作donation
的一种方式.100$一件也值啊.

本（>1000）相对于现在维持的USTCAF管理开支（～500）来说太高了，除非大家自己做
