It is with indescribable sadness that we report to you the sudden and
unexpected passing of our classmate and dear friend Tao Mingyuan.
Mingyuan was found dead on May 29th in a hotel at South San Francisco,
less than 2 months after he started his new job in a small Biotech
company in the Bay area. We learned about this heartbreaking news
several days later from Mingyuan's brother in China.
Mingyuan is single with no family or relatives in the US. His mother
