这地方shopping和交通是很方便的。往北两个街区可以搭轻轨到UU(学生免费），往南
两个街区有Smith's超市。买中国货要到900S 450E的越南店，得走上20分钟吧。很近的
地方（大概700E690S)有个韩国店，不过东西贵一些。
是比较老的区，附近有个比较大的公寓楼。街景可能稍微显旧一点。
Trolley Square是downtown最老的mall，没事逛逛挺方便。

发帖数: 774 | 6 Like some have said before, usually people prefer living at least east of
State Street, better east of 700 E because areas around State Street are
kind of old. And west is generally not as safe as east area.
There are quite a few apartments around UU or along the Trax that goes to
the U. But I am not familiar with apartment market at all because we lived
at the University village years ago.
In my view if you could persuade the owner of the 768 E 600 S house to give
you a 6 month contract instead

homeless always hang around this place. Almost one day out of a week, you
can see a police car parking there with flash lights on. That is why I moved
out after 3 months even broke the lease to pay the penalty.

live in because of its high crime rate.
I would choose a place east to 700 E if I were you.

be better if Caopp can find a place further east. 3 or more blocks to the
east probably will make a big difference.

１. Avenue area. Avenue streets最下有很多小的houses，多是２－３bedroom。租金
也不贵的吓人。在近avenue的Smith's处有一Apartment building，很是不错。但我不
记得Apartment的具体的名字。
2. Sunnyside Drive.那里里UU's research park近，但房不是很多，要碰运气。
３。如果是新到U of U的新生，可以试着申请Benchmark or Shoreline的房子。我听说
University Village和Medical town的waiting list很长 （我没申请过这两处地方，
只是听说而已）但Benchmark and shoreline有简单家具，租金虽高些，但能满足新生
的需要 |

方便。
能找到学校的宿舍当然是最好的，起码安全、方便，多花一点也值。Caopp不知有没有
和学校的housing联系过？

发帖数: 774 | 15 Well we all assumed you will go to the U so nothing we've said counts now.
If you work close to the airport then you might have to make some compromise
. Either drive some distance or live at the west side. There are some nice
and expensive apartments in downtown. They are guarded so safety is not
likely an issue for those. It takes around 15 min to reach airport from
downtown.

。 这２个地方上２１５很方便，而且可以避开１５上北去的堵车情况。
在我上说的两个地方的房子很多。这两个地方是比较大的居民区。安全性好。 |

发帖数: 774 | 19 Memory建议往noth salt lake和bountiful找找也不错，如果那边一时找不到合适的，
我自己的话我可能就先在Redwood这里‘中转’了。我对大的apartment比较放心一点。
另外一个好处是Redwood往南有不少的亚洲店。
