there were no reports of damage, just a nighttime surprise.
The University of Utah seismograph station reported the quake around 9:30 p.
m., near Bryce Canyon.
The epicenter was 18 miles from Panguitch, 13 miles from Tropic and 129
miles from Mesquite, Nev.
The quake — which was about a half-mile deep — was felt around southern
