The incident occurred Sunday, several friends from Wyoming were in Salt Lake
for a concert when they spotted several African-American men gathered
around their truck. Kelly Leeper says he and his buddies approached the
group,
"They started throwing out racial slurs, 'get out of here you effing white
guys you don't belong here this is our parking lot,' " said Leeper.
He says it appears the men were upset about a small Confederate flag
displayed on their vehicle. The black men demanded the white men move the
truck, and then punched them. Leeper and his friend where bloodied, but did
not go to the hospital.
Sgt. Robin Heiden of the SLDPD said there is no indication that race
motivated the attacks. | a*******r
