Choose Gauley instead New River, pick Level 5 rafting, otherwise no fun
at all.
don't remember the cost, about 50$/person bah... Prepare some tips
for your guide. The more people the better

smoky mountain NP rafting once.
It's actually pretty safe, although at some level 5 rapids, you could be bumped
into the river, but don't worry, your friends and guide will pull you
up right away. Besides, what fun it is if you are in the boat all the time?
At some level 1 or 2 rapids, the guide even encourage people to jump into
the river for a good swimming experience. It feels different than in the
pool.

发帖数: 108 | 12 Now is better than later. July is not as exciting as June, but cheaper
(according to the websites i went through.) but October Gauley River is open,
it's more exciting. The first week of October you can see the fall colors
while rafting, that should be more fun. (but colder i suppose)
