Project Manager/Implementation engineer
Role Description
The Project Manager will work within the Project Management Office (PMO) to
manage the implementation and configuration of the our product on behalf of
our customers. In this role the Project Manager will work with other members
of the project team to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to
strict deadlines and within budget. This includes managing project resources
and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or
consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project
Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality
control throughout its life cycle.

Responsibilities:
Plan, execute and monitor implementation projects from beginning to end.
Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in
collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other
stakeholders.
Use the company Project Portfolio tool to manage projects, including
resource forecasting, estimate to complete, and earned value management.
Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
Develop and deliver project status reports.
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and
devise contingency plans.
Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to
identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
Support the development of best practices and tools for project execution
and management.
Job Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university is required.
2+ years of project management experience -- preferably with software
implementations or government contracts
Superior written and verbal communications skills
Ability to interact with clients at all levels
Strong technical skills -- experience in performing system implementations,
configuration, interface development and/or quality assurance testing
Ability to develop and manage implementation plans with clients
Experience delivering customer training or other presentations
Excellent organizational and time-management skills; ability to multi-task
PMP or motivation to attain certification
Strong experience with MS Excel and/or MS Project is a plus |
