我现在打算回国重新办F1签证。
问题是，我能不能比博士I20上面的开学日期提早超过30天进美国？
主要是为了在博士开学前旅游一下。
美国gov的网站这样写的:
A beginning student who wants an earlier entry into the U.S. (more than 30
days prior to the course start date), must qualify for, and obtain a
visitor visa.
Continuing students may apply for a new visa at any time, as long as they
have been maintaining student status and their SEVIS records are current.
如果不能早超过30天回美国，我是否可以申请B2签证进美国？那我又应该怎么转成F1。

入关的时候带上旧的I-20，证明你是continuing student。海关的移民官毕竟不是签证
官，没那么严。你和他好好讲道理没问题的。 你虽然转了学校，可确实是continute
your study, just at a different school for a different degree. It makes
perfect sense.
放心回国好好玩吧。

开学的gap可以多长）？
除了要旧学校release SEVIS，新学校给新的I20以外，还需要递交什么申请吗？

requires that all initial or beginning students enter the U.S. 30 days or
less in advance of the course of study start/report date as shown on the
Form I-20. Please consider this date carefully when making travel plans to
