维克森林大学（WFU）建于1834年，是美国一所极富盛名的综合性研究私立大学。WFU主
校区位于美国东南沿海北卡州的温莎市，离美国第二经济中心夏洛 特市仅有一小时车
程。维克森林大学在美国新闻与世界报道2013年全美综合大学排名中位列第23位。本科
教学排名第11位。
WFU口译和翻译硕士项目提供三个专业方向可供选择：
·口译和翻译研究（ITS)
·医疗行业跨文化服务（ISH)
·口译教学（TI）
其中ITS是中英文方向，要求申请者母语为普通话或普通话接近母语水平。ISH不限定申
请者语言类别，就业方向是文化敏感度高的医疗服务行业的管理层次职 位。TI方向要
求申请者外语水平达标并有口译行业从业经验。ISH和TI方向授课语言为英语，任何语
言背景申请者均可申请。
2015秋季学期中英文方向招生规模约为10人。我们为优秀的申请者提供奖学金和助学金。

Studies(Chinese-English)
WakeForest University (WFU) was founded in 1834 outside the state capital
ofRaleigh, North Carolina. In 1941, the medical school moved to Winston-
Salem,and the rest of the College followed in 1956. In the 2014 U.S. News
America’sBest Colleges report, Wake Forest ranked 11th in terms of “Best
UndergraduateTeaching” and 23rd overall among national universities. Wake
Forest BaptistMedical Center, one of our internships locations, is ranked
nationally in 4adult and 2 pediatric specialties.
MA inInterpreting and Translation Studies (Chinese-English)
TheGraduate School of Arts and Science at WFU offers three MA degrees in
theInterpreting and Translation Studies:
• MA inInterpreting and Translation Studies (ITS)
• MA inIntercultural Services in Healthcare (ISH)
• MA inTeaching of Interpreting (TI)
The ITStrack offers Chinese-English language combination. The ISH track
isnon-language specific and is the first such specialization in the U.S.,
designed to prepare graduates to enter managerial positions inculture-
sensitive healthcare delivery areas. The TI track requires strongforeign
language competency and proven interpreting experience. The courses inISH
and TI tracks are held in English. These tracks are open to candidates
withany language combination.
