房1：$515K，在Burke，2300 square feet, 1986年，学区不是最好，但还不错(lake
braddock，8分在GREATSCHOOL)，距单位6 miles.
房2：$565K，在chantilly, 但是在Loudoun county (Dulles airport南)，4100
square feet, 2005年，学区没有1好 (freedom high，新学校，7分在GREATSCHOOL),
SAT平均分差了130。距单位18 miles,要走66。
我们的情况：1人在家上班，1人在Fairfax上班，1个孩子上5年级。
纠结原因：房1学区可以，上班比较近，地下室FINISH。但房子旧，厨房需要完全
UPDATE。两个卫生间， 厨房和HALLWAY要换地砖。
房2学区一般，而且traffic不太好，需要很早上班(7点)。地下室没有FINISH，若
FINISH大约需要3万5。但房子新，大，是我们喜欢的房型。 |

way you like, but one thing you can not change is the location, you are
stuck once it is bought.
I have in the past, bought the house just because the location and bulldoze
the old house and built a new one at the same location. To me location is
the most important factor in choosing a house.

My husband and I love those new houses in Southriding.there is another
foreclosure house nearby your one on the market right now:P
But my mother-in-law and my sister in law don't like the location :-(

1 is much older than 2 and much smaller and needs some cash to renovate.
Freedom high is not bad , nor Lake Bradock HS is that good, if you concern
about school zone. If your children are in GT program or if they can get
into Thomas Jefferson after a few years, it doesn't make much difference.
Just my 2cents.

Loundon county only has limited spots for TJ.

it is just like the traffic on RT7 which has become the nightmare for most people
living in Leesburge:P
there are plenty of spaces available in Southriding. In 10 years, the
traffic on rt50 is going to be horrible I think.

Lake Braddock High. Also many low-end townhouses not too far. But we do like
the community where our house is.
BTW, we already rejected the Chantilly one. Thank you all for the comments.
