private company that have contracts with the government)
If you only got green card, you will be better off in CA as a software
engineer.

reasons, otherwise I would get a job in CA already. But I'm still gonna
keep an eye on job openings in DC, I appreciate your info anyway.

to be a citizen.

correction:
as long as you do not server the military or sensitive departments as DOD,
HS, DS, you are fine to get public trust with GC and to work for a lot of
departments as contractor.. such as doc, nist, fsa, tsa, va, irs, usps, doa,
dol, edu, and lots of special agencies.
