Jason Gan (Vanderbilt ), Andy Shi（Harvard）， Jasmine Yan（ Harvard），
Elmer Tan （Harvard），Katherine Ye （Princeton），和John Su,（Princeton）。
这个Vanderbilt从新泽西申请，应该比较容易吧。
今天在侨报周末版看到的报道略有不同。
都是J.P. Stevens High School的老中。上次消息刚爆出来的时候，大家还说
烙印networking发作。。。。
三个人里，两个是男生，也比较让人欣慰：不只照顾女生,男生也有希望。 一个是华夏
奥赛银牌，真金实银。女生是围棋高手，到不是为另辟新径的好方法。 还有一个全面
发展。
回想起我上大学前去给学弟学妹介绍高考经验的情景，说三年都很重要，一年都大意不
得，给那些高一新生留下深刻印象，几年后还提起。其实国内还容易些， 成绩好就够
了，
美国更辛苦，要全面发展，真不希望自己的孩子再来一遍。 |

咋天一个朋友给我打电话，想从Chantilly High School搬出来到更好的学区。
我以前跟她现在是同一个学区，我觉得很好(小学：Green briar West,初中：Rocky
Run).真是蛮吃惊的，要从这么好的地方再挪窝。 |

我第一次听到一定要换到跟好学区的。我的朋友住在West Field 高中的也没有要还呀。

候，我儿子一个月都没有好好吃饭，一吃饭就哭，说他的朋友再也见不着了。我就暗想
，再也不折腾孩子了。

我们家扁豆，脸皮本来就厚。比如小时候，买东西排队交款，他就想跟人聊天。他能
先和后面排队的人搭讪。如果人家不理，他无所谓。转过身来，再和排在前面的人聊。
出去坐飞机，有一次在 Southwest 飞机上，我们三个人坐三个位子。结果就看到他一
会儿和左边的乘客聊，一会儿和右边的乘客聊。等下了飞机，那两个乘客多大了，结婚
了没有，几个孩子，干什么职业，喜欢读什么书，这次坐飞机有何公干，都弄得一清二
楚。
My son has MANY friends. At each school he made new friends. Therefore he
has more friends than anyone else! Even now he has google chat with friends
in San Diego as well as friends in Fairfax.
I knew he is emotional strong even at the age of 5. Evidence:
After the graduation ceremony at his preschool, a Chinese girl, who was a
good friend of my son, suddenly bursted into tears when my son hugged her
and said "Good-bye." They played together at the preschool almost everyday
for about 2 years. The girl later told her mom that she knew she would not
see my son again since each one would go to a different elementary school in
the fall. And my son's reaction? Calmly shaking hands with the little girl
and her mom, then said:"It's Okay. We'll meet again!" That's it! The little
girl later went back to China with her family.
I was shocked at the scene.
Anyway, it turned out that James can self-adjust to a new environment
quickly. Even when attending the first orientation meeting for library
volunteers, he could make a friend right way by chatting with a guy sitting
next to him.
Therefore, we were never worried about him feeling lonely after switching to
a new school. He can adapt to changes quickly.
As a matter of fact, we even consulted with him about the cross-continent
move before reaching the decision. He gave the green light since he knew TJ
is the top public school in the country. But he has one condition/
reservation: if he decides to come back to San Diego later on, we have to
move back!
