Searchers in Fairfax County have found a body Monday afternoon in the woods
of Thaiss Park. Friends identify him as a teen who had been missing since
last Monday.
Hundreds of volunteers started searching the woods of Thaiss Park Monday
morning looking for clues in the disappearance of 17-year-old Bryan Glenn, a
senior student at W.T. Woodson High School.
"We did thorough searches up to a certain point and they actually came in
once off of Route 50, came in from the woods from the other side, but never
actually met," says Eddy Azcarate of Fairfax County Police. "Apparently,
that location is somewhere in that gap."
Those who know the family and went to the scene say the body found is that
of Bryan Glenn.
The medical examiner will determine the cause of death of the individual
found in the woods.
Glenn was last seen at around 7 a.m. on Monday, October 1, in the parking
lot of the high school.
"We didn't learn this until later on at night when he didn't come home from
football practice, but he had missed all day of school and football practice
as well," said Mike Glenn, Bryan's father.
Bryan Glenn's car was found by Fairfax City Police in the parking lot next
to the baseball field at Thaiss Memorial Park early last Tuesday morning. |
