The Tester is responsible for all aspects of testing including functional,
regression, performance, usability, and acceptance. The Tester will perform
the following:
Assist in the development of test strategy and test plans
Good communications skills; verbal and written
Creates accurate test cases and test data from requirements
Develops automated test scripts
Documents test results
Develops and executes regression testing approach
Strong hands-on-experience of testing on the web, J2EE, and Web
environments
Familiarity and use of defect tracking tools(s) – ClearQuest is desired
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to plan, manage time based on schedules, and provide status
updates as required
Ability to quickly resolve issues with “out of the box” thinking
Must be self-motivated and be able to handle or mitigate problem
situations
Must be able to adapt to a potentially quickly changing environment
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team
environment
Requirements:
Must have a Bachelors degree with a minimum of 4 years related
experience. An additional 2 years of related experience may be substituted
in lieu of a degree
Must have 3 to 4 years of hands-on testing experience testing both
client and web-based (J2EE) applications with financial and claims systems
preferred
Must have strong skills in SQL queries on IBM DB2 or Oracle databases
Strong hands-on experience in manual and automated testing using IBM’s
Rational tools in a web-based environment preferred.
Looking for a SQL development team member that supports the Energy
Compensation System (ECS). The position is on site in Washington DC and is
conveniently located near the Judiciary Square Metro station. This is a
full time SQL Developer position.
The selected candidate will perform the following:
§ Deliver Monthly reports
§ Directly participate in client calls
§ Responsible for developing external reporting using multiple SQL
databases Routinely writes queries and stored procedures in SQL,
§ Reviews reports for quality and data integrity, and sends them on for
Quality Assurance checks.
§ Develop requirements and review them with respect to the data and
application.
§ Duties include the regular use of discretion, independent judgment, the
ability to communicate with multiple levels of customer management and the
utilization of core leadership behaviors.
§ Must possess a well developed ability to communicate verbally and in
written form with both technical and non-technical audiences
o Candidate is required to possess or successfully complete a National
Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) and FBI Criminal History Check
§ In depth experience of MS Office including Microsoft Access and VBA a
plus
Qualifications:
Candidates must be detail oriented and be able to manage work to meet
delivery schedules
2 – 5 years SQl and database experience required, DB2 a plus
2 – 5 years Stored Procedure development a plus
Demonstrated competence at analyzing existing stored procedures,
functions, packages, and views
Must be a Team Player and Quick Learner |
