纽约新则西各个华人组织，经过几天的紧急商讨，初步制定了援助梁警官的行动大纲。
目前我们正在设法和梁的家人取得联系。在得到他们的同意之后，所有行动都会开始逐
步实施。
行动的第一步，发布记者招待会，声明公开支持，希望大家能够参加。
时间地点如下：

Don't mention other racially inflamed case. Mention two other factors: 1.
The light in stairwell was broken, as well as the elevator in the building,
the owner of building may have civil responsibility in the tragedy. 2. 2
rookie policemen were sent to a dangerous housing development, neither
seemed to know what to do in an life-death emergency. The Chinese American
community deeply sympathizes with Akai Gurley and his family. The Chinese
American community would support Akai's family in seeking financial redress.
But the indictment against Peter Liang seemed unjust and politically
motivated. We would also support Peter Liang and his family in the face of
tragedy, unintended accidents and in times of need, the same way we would
support any other innocent police officer doing his duty, Wenjian Liu and
Rafael Ramos. |
