Community building is a field of practices directed toward the creation or
enhancement of community among individuals within a regional area (such as a
neighborhood) or with a common interest. It is sometimes encompassed under
the field of community development.
A wide variety of practices can be utilized for community building, ranging
from simple events like potlucks and small book clubs, to larger–scale
efforts such as mass festivals and building construction projects that
involve local participants rather than outside contractors.
Activists engaged in community building efforts in industrialized nations
see the apparent loss of community in these societies as a key cause of
social disintegration and the emergence of many harmful behaviors. They may
see building community as a means to increase social justice, individual
well-being and reduce negative impacts of otherwise disconnected individuals
.

嗯，网上的社区也是一种。不过最方便的还是自己周围的实际生活中的社区。
不过讲我自己的经验吧，以前是没有这种概念的。所以我觉得提一下这个概念，也还是
有一点意义。
另外一个，每个人周围环境不同，特别是不在华人特别集中的几个大城市，华人社区的
发展要差很多。如何能够促进那些地区的华人社区发展，也是个有意思的话题。比如说
，可以有一些信息和经验的分享，让有心做事的人，在那些地区能够得到一些帮助。

华人社区范围太大了，且不说大陆，香港，台湾，即使大陆来的，背景，文化，都各有
很大。把这乱糟糟的，在国内就团结不到一起的人凑到一起何其难。倒是同乡会，宗亲

组织方面，我觉得可能是要作一些努力，寻求共同的利益，并让很多人能够认同，这些
共同的利益比相互之间的差异来得更重要。比如说，下一代的发展这一个共同的利益，
对很多人来讲也许会是这样的一个点。
资源方面，我觉得在个人的层面，如果人们觉得值得，自然就会增加投入。另外，
Corporate 和 Private Foundation 甚至政府方面，都有相应的资源可以去争取，说到
底，是需要有人投入来做这些事情了。

你可以先搞一个needs assessment之类的调查。 个体间的差异也是很重要的。 就拿下
一代教育为例，你说一对老中夫妻，小孩都大学毕业了，会有多少人来管这些闲事？
如果你这些活动中最活跃的那些人小孩马上就要念大学了，那一旦他们自己的小孩高中
毕业了，他们中还有几人会坚持下去？
政府方面的钱是可以争取，但是竞争也是非常激烈的。 政府/企业的钱最先照顾的是赤
贫人群。 写grant proposal耗时耗力。
其实，你可以先自己做做试验，光说还是没用的。 1，2轮做下来，基本就知道怎么弄
法了。
