Dear Prof. Stafford, Prof. Lin, Prof. Brenner, and Prof. Broverman,
I'd like to report a serious fraudulent behavior during the college
admission process by a junior student named Shiwei Fang in your department
in fall 2011.
Shiwei FANG, Female, DOB: March 10, 1993, was admitted to the Department of
Statistics, University of Toronto in Fall 2011. She claimed that she had two
journal research publications [1] and [2] in her resume submitted to your
department during the application process ( please also refer to the
attached resume used by Shwei Fang then ). However, these two papers were
actually written by her mother, Prof Yunyun ZHAO, an Associate Professor in
the School of Life Science in Capital Normal University, Beijing, China. Ms.
Shiwei Fang's application essay was also largely written by her mother,
Prof. Zhao.

I believe the University of Toronto has zero tolerance on academic
dishonesty, so please verify the evidence provided in this email and start
an investigation process. **The verification process can be as simple as
asking Ms. Shiwei Fang detailed questions on the two papers she claimed that
she had written.

2) Faculty are not involved in the admission process. You need to
contact the admission office and student dean.
3) I don't think university cares much about anonymous tips like this.
