1.traditional c/c++ software engineer, mainly based on windows. Most of them
know little about probability and statistics, nor are they interested in
the world outside coding. They are often called geek and are disliked by
normal people.
2. Big data software engineer. They know everything ranging from coding,
probability, statistics, algorithm to business, law, politics,literature,
lingustics, human nature, etc. Their love the world. Their ambition is to
computationalize everything. They prefer Java, python over c/c++.
The second type of software engineer often require PH.D. in computer science
or other quantitative area like statistics, mathematics, engineering, etc..
but never from biolgoy, chemistry or material science. | j****i
