收到一封美国驻广州领馆关于visa申请的信,适用于F,J,希望对大家有点用处。
Dear Students and Exchange Scholars:
Greetings from Consulate Guangzhou! We sincerely hope that you are finding
studying in the United States to be a rewarding experience! For those of
you who may be returning to China during the upcoming winter or summer
breaks, we have some helpful visa renewal information that we would like to
share with you.
Each U.S. government visa processing office in China offers a convenient
visa renewal service. The service is called the “drop off renewal” and
allows students and exchange scholars to renew their U.S. visas without
having to schedule an appointment, wait in line, or appear in person for an
interview.
The process works like this: After filling out the DS-160 online application
form and paying the nonimmigrant visa application fee, holders of valid (or
expired for less than one year) F1 and J1 visas who plan to return to the U
.S. to continue their studies can drop off their passports and application
materials at your nearest CITIC Bank Frequent Traveler Acceptance location (
for a list of locations serving the U.S. Embassy and Consulates please see
the CITIC Bank website at http://www.ecitic.com/bank/personal/chuguo/32.htm). This option saves you a trip to the nearest U.S. Consulate or Embassy, as well as saves you time waiting in line for another visa interview! This option is only available to you if you travel back to China and need to reapply for the same type of visa.
Complete information about the drop off renewal service can be found online
at http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/citic-bank-drop-off-service.html. One important thing to note: While most visas can be easily renewed on the basis of the submitted documentation, if there are questions or concerns about your case, you will be invited for an interview so that you can explain. No visa applications will be denied solely on the basis of documents submitted to us through this drop off renewal program.
Please do not reply to this email, as we are unable to receive inquiries at
this email address. For general information about visas see our website at http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/non-immigrant-visa-section.html.
If you qualify, please consider using this convenient and time-saving
program to renew your visa. Best of luck with your studies, and thank you
for choosing to pursue your education in the United States!
Sincerely,
Non-Immigrant Visa Unit
