If your department is on north campus, the housing may be as low as
$300 if you sublease a room in a two-bedroom in family housing. And
it is within 5 min walk to your department.
If you cook by yourself, $250 is enough.
Medical insurance is required, I think. For us who has RA or TA, the
insurance is part of the financial aid, around $400 per month.
I am afraid you may not use credit card to pay your tuition, because
the cashier's office on north campus doesn't accept credit or debit
