发帖数: 7025 | 1 While leaving the grocery store,my son and I saw a tiny little boy,around 30 feet away from us,jumping up and down,spinning like a little top...Looking at him,I couldn't help but smiling,"he is just too cute,such a joy"...
We were talking and walking, pass that little boy...my son pulled my hand slightly and whispered "mama,did you notice his hair?he's so pale...he got cancer..."
At that immediate moment,my heart was saddened. That little boy,such an alive,energetic and happy boy,he got cancer?
"It's so sad...but look at the bright side,at least he doesn't even understand what he is going through,maybe God made it this way so that it
won't be terribly bad for him?" I said,slowly,as if I was trying to convince somebody.
"Oh,yeah,I think so too,mama,but it's still so sad that he is punished without knowing what is happening". My pre-teen boy said in a very gentle and sentimental tone.
Silently,we walked toward our car...
Sitting in the car,my young man looked at me from the back seats,using his still boyish tone try to comfort me:"mama,are you alright? Well,like you said,let's look at the bright side,at least he is living the full out of
every single day he is having.He doesn't even know what sadness is,so he won't waste any good time in life..."
He is living the full out of every single day he is having...he won't waste any good time...
Can we,the much more maturer,logical and rational grown-ups do so? Can we live the full out of every single day of our life?
Albert Einstein once said that the most important question people got to ask themselves is "Is this a friendly universe?"
To that question,I used to answer "no,of course not,is he crazy or what,even the fools know it's not";later on in life I changed my mind,"yes,looks like it is"; later on, again,I changed my mind,"no,of course not"... You might say that 九月 is some kind of a freak...ok,you may be right,but before you make that judgement,please allow me to give my justification here: it's obvious,my answer changes with the things and/or people I encountered in different stages/places of my life,however,no matter what was my answer to
the genius Einstein's question,I should say,my changing mind clearly delivered one message --- life is just not that "clean",it actually could be "messy".
But then what? We won't live a good life just because it is "messy"?
No,of course not!
