F1 status, unless there are certain relief programs(like those for
southeastern asian students after the finance crash)
otherwises u wouldn't be legally paid | l****e

if you,
1) don't have green card/citizenship
2) are chinese f1 student
3) the company has nothing to do with your university campus or curriculum
then,
you'll have to apply CPT/OPT for working as an intern in summer
check your int'l student office for details
my guess is that the HR person in that company doesn't have much
experience in getting int'l student working for them, s/he must
be presuming u r the same case as domestic students. |
