If it is happiness and satisfaction that you are seeking, there are two ways
to achieve the goal----
One, by focusing on your career development, including the possibility of
going back to China to start a company. Sales? More travelling involved job?
Small company? Just be open-minded.
Two, is your wife really happy to be a house-wife? If not, yet she feels that
she had to, there is no way that you can feel happy and satisfied.
