新公司在七月二十一号来电话,问我接受不接受一个offer,我说接受.然后他们在电话后
的4个小时后用email发来一个PDF格式的offer,作为附件.里面写着期待我8月17号上班,
pending on your 尿检,background check 和 H1B transfer.
并让我在2天之内做尿检,填写background check同意表.
我在两天内完成了这些事情,一个律师给我来信,让我发送各种文件给他,开始申请H1B
transfer.
从7月21号之后,新公司就没有再联系过我,我也没有接收到任何书面的offer letter.
所以我至今(8月4号)都不敢跟我现在的雇主说明.
请教一下,在目前的情况下,我该如何做? 新公司在西海岸,目前的公司在东海岸,还有两
周不到,很着急.
翻老贴发现,很多人建议在新的H1B approve notice下来后再说.
但我的H1B申请目前还没有递交上去,LCA 的审批7月29号递交上去的, 至今没有完成.
在我现在的情况下,会遇到什么问题,该如何处理? 第一次换工作,很迷茫,恳请大家帮助. | t***o

you just sit around like a duck???
what 格式 do you expect? encrypted or printed in latin? it's just a piece of
paper, AND it can't guarantee you anything (they can withdraw the offer at
any time without any consequence). if you still feel "safer" to have one in
hand, you should have asked them 12 days AGO...
you only got less than 2 weeks now, pick up phone and call them NOW, confirm
everything is ready for 8/17.

much to do:
1) coast to coast, fly or drive? ticket or how to get rid of your car?
2) lease, how to end the one here and find a place there?
3) bank, phone, utility, etc. companies?

A girl answered the phone, she is so nice:
1. She let me wait for a few seconds, she asked my SSN and check it in
their system.
2. She said my drug test is negative, which is passed. Very good.
3. She said my background check, the only thing pending is on my current

1) background check should be fine. 99% of time it's just a procedure;
2) if you need to know about your H1B transfer, then you should ask ah? did
you make a list of questions before you called them?... again, 99% of time
it should be fine, but looks to me, you're a worrisome person (lady?), you'd
better call them again.

Background check probably is to verify if you worked at a company as you
said on resume. | G******y

Background check normally includes criminal, court, and works compensation
record check, sometimes credit check as well.
