I******T 发帖数: 671 | 8 It is sure in normal range as a senior engineer, considering your
location. If you are doing the same thing master or bachelor can do,
then your phd degree is not so relevant. And I do not think materials
science pays well.
They are too many factors, the key is how much you can get if you start
posting resume.
You should start testing your market value 3 years ago.

Z*******n 发帖数: 694 | 10 I have had a similar question: How do I know if I'm being paid competitively
WITHIN my own company?
I happen to work for a large company, and I found out that my company has "5
-band" for each technical level. So I asked my manager which band I am in;
and he actually told me that I'm in Band 3 (the middle band) at my job level
(I'm a senior technical person). Also, each band has a lowest salary and
highest salary limit (which my manager showed me); so I can verify that I am
indeed in Band 3.

c****z 发帖数: 613 | 12 Your starting salary was actually a little bit higher than mine (congrats!).
I would say your current salary is within a normal range but at the low end
; I would really doubt that ppl with similar experience would make more than
$100k though, while most of them would make $90k to $100k, taking your
location into account.
