your ability to perform your duty to the company, unless they believe
it is piece of cake for you, there will be resistence.
Better check the your HR mannual to see if there is restriction, maybe
they don't care.

通常都需要汇报给上级,你的这种情况如果不影响你的日常工作,而且不存在竞争关系的
话,公司可能会同意
