Software Engineer
Under general supervision, modifies complex applications programs from
detailed specifications. Codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains
those programs. Possess the ability to work independently on most phases of
software application development.
Experience
BA/BS degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. 8+ years
of related experience.
Requirements Active participant in the design, development, maintenance,
and delivery of advanced Patient Access solutions to a large customer base
of Emdeon clients. Uses technical and domain expertise for resolving,
maintaining, and implementing claim related software development initiatives
for legacy and web applications. Implementation of the database, software
configuration and customization, planning and execution and user acceptance
testing, training, as well as managing aspects of data migration and rollout
. Experience with healthcare related fields is a plus.
Required Qualifications (Experience/Skills): Must be able to assimilate
quickly in an aggressive continuous improvement and knowledge focused
culture. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or
related field required. Master's degree preferred. Solid Java development
and design skills (research and design, development, testing, implementation
, training, documentation, and support).
Experience using OO techniques with full-lifecycle projects and formal
software development methodologies and tools. Minimum 1 -3 years experiences
in one of the Java web frameworks. Experienced in Oracle/MySql/MS SQL
including stored procedures, view and triggers is a plus. The candidate
requires strong trouble shooting, installation and configuration skills as
well as excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication skills. |
