标 题: help pregnant employee from being fired

I am 5 months pregnant
I got performance review from my manager (with HR sitting on the side) that
my performance is "unsatisfactory"
The manager used excused such as I did not have consistent performance, as
well as not working enough hours during my 1st trimester (I worked 9 hours
before pregnancy and at least 8 hours after entering 2nd trimester)
I was also told to sign a paper, the HR said it was just to acknowledge that
I got reviewed, not necessarily agreed on the terms in the review. I did
not read that paper, just signed under shock.
Now I am worried that they will fire me because of my pregnancy
What evidence and materials I should collect, in case I get fired and that I
need to sue the company?
Please help! |

我觉得她最好赶紧找个律师

I signed some paper today without reading it carefully, under the shock of "
unsatisfactory performance"
Please someone help me on actions I need to take to prevent being fired
before I have the baby in 4 months

坏了,太欺负孕妇了,你可以联系联系公司工会,妇女协会什么的看有没有办法,还有
就是和HR的人约一下谈谈你有什么权利,他们绝对不能以你有身孕不能超时工作来做主
要的理由,这个太歧视了。保留一切文件,E-mail,最好有证明你工作时间的证据,有
必要的话consult一下律师看有没有人愿意接(他们一般要你有hard evidence才行)

都不是工会的,有些妇女组织有点用,至少能安排一个supervisor给一些Free

b******l 发帖数: 261 | 10 this is clear sign that the boss is trying to get ride of you. If you feel
the review is unfair, you can escalate to upper management. That may help if
in a middle/large size company. Signed the paper doesn't mean you agree (HR
was telling the truth).
Pregnancy should have nothing to do with your review.
If it is true that your performance is not good, another solution is to
apply short-term(or long-term) disability due to reason of pregnancy. that
will help to prolong your paycheck. I am no lawyer so you have to consult
the real expert. |
