这个是旧帖重发，职位仍然有效。
这里先给大家道个歉，上次其实收到不少简历，但是可能是因为我没有讲清楚，很多简
历：1，不在纽约附近（我们公司不负担IT部门的面试费用，因为不是IT公司）。2，没
有什么美国的工作经验。3，其实想做的不是IT。我当时没贴邮箱，所以要靠短信不断
来回，后来自己都跟的有点lost了。所以最后我只交上去3个简历，fail了一个，1个不
知道为啥没下文。最后一个可能下个星期要onsite了（因为他们现在有工作，我拖到过
了新年后才交了简历，否则他们等不到bonus）。
当然前面这些不便都是我的错，我在发帖的时候其实对于那个职位的要求自己也很模糊
，现在贴一个模板吧（这个是官方的职位要求，我看来都是套话）：

我只是帮组里找几个简历，不是猎头，工作经验不足的也可以申请，就是只能是junior position
另外要说明一点，因为这些位置是雷同的（同一个组里），我可能不能同时把所有收到的简历都交上去，这个太怪异了，所以可能只能一个一个来（或者2个？），时间会拖的有点长，直到所有的位子都fill了为止。因此在这种情况下，在我收到的简历里，我会挑选觉得机会最大的先交上去，这个是没办法的事情。请大家理解！
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
The Information Technology Group is seeking an experienced Systems Developer
/Programmer who will assist with the architecture, design, implementation,
and daily support of the firm’s trading and/or operational systems. System
Developers are exposed to all facets of the trade lifecycle for a broad
range of financial products and are expected to plan, research, develop
logic, code, and test and deploy several projects while working in a fast-
paced environment. Candidates must have effective communication skills, the
ability to interact professionally within a diverse group of staff and user
community, ability to work productively in teams and to mentor or instruct
others while effectively prioritizing their own tasks. Successful candidates
will have great technology and problem solving skills, a solid work ethic,
and an eagerness to learn in a highly intellectual, collaborative
environment.
RESPONSBILITIES:
• Development, maintenance and production support of existing trading
& operational systems
• Ensure quality of work through development and implementation of QA
procedures and standards
• Build custom front-end applications while integrating with existing
back-end systems.
• Participate in the analysis and recommendation of deploying third-
party solutions (build vs. buy).
• Adhere to best practices in change control and documentation.
• With frequency, select the most efficient methods of developing and
implementing new computer programs and systems
• Review existing computer programs and recommend refinements,
improvements, and enhancements to ensure most efficient methods are employed.
• Communicate with commercial vendors to develop programs and/or
interfaces.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 5+ years in IT with at least 3+ years experience in developing
financial systems
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, or equivalent field is required
• Understanding of trade flow processing and operations
• Understanding of object oriented programming and programming
principles
• Understanding of MS SQL Server, Transact-SQL, SQL Server Reporting
Services, SQL Server Analysis Services
• Understanding of .NET, C#, AJAX programming concepts
• Understanding of Web protocols and programming requirements.
• Understanding of enterprise-level automation and scheduling concepts
• Knowledge of Java, JSP, Perl, HTML, UNIX scripting, VBScript
preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of XML, C/C++ and messaging preferred but not required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
下面是我说的话，不是官方立场：
某个hedge fund/asset management（公司有200人+）
IT还有4个程序员位置。
要特别说明一点，这个组不是quant，也不是quant developer，就是developer，基本
上和银行的FO/MO/BO混合IT很像。想做quant developer/quant的请参考我在quant版的
帖子http://www.mitbbs.com/article_t0/Quant/31316231.html，不过我要先说一句，就我收到的简历来看，那些职位竞争非常激烈（这个IT的位子我们是没有学校背景方面的要求的）。难度至少差别是几倍数。
地点是康州靠近纽约
我只是可以帮忙内部推荐，应该肯定能有phone interview。后面看大家自己。
要求：
学历上，如果是PHD/MFE可能会有点浪费，好像现在组里没有PHD/MFE，或者有我不知道
。没有硬性要求（至少要有本科吧）。MFE又觉得自己写程序员厉害的，可以考虑申请
我们公司的quant developer
肯定要有工作经验，个人觉得至少要2-3年吧（不管你是中美）。学生就不用说了，因
为这里和大公司不一样。组里很多10+year的程序员。
技术上不写那些套话了，就是java或者.net都可以，数据库的话是sql server，但是也
不是硬性考虑某个数据库。
工作上是完全个人项目负责制，所以面试的时候对于用户需求捕捉和design考的会比较
高。工作的时候基本上都是个人管个人的项目，合作的项目都不算多。
不要求有金融领域的工作经验。
总体上来说，就是你最好有100%从启动到部署一个小项目的能力。这里基本没啥micro
management，基本上one person one team。
工作强度：一般吧，和银行front office差不多，压力不大。
BTW：办H1B，应该也办绿卡。
面试的难度：我觉得一般，但是据说通过率也不高（这个世界就是这样，一般运气好进
了一个公司，就觉得不难，所以我说的不算准，survivor bias），今年面了一年，招
了5个。
面试的时候没有算法题（就是那种O(n)之类的）和IQ题。就是类似面试consultant的那
种感觉，特别看重hands on 能力。
