我现在自己开了个小公司，老公会下来跟我一起做。我怀孕5个月了，所以保险还是很
重要的，想请问大家这种情况，保险该怎么办呢？可以申请COBRA么？还是我们干脆直
接自己买保险算了？因为我已经怀孕了，所以如果自己买的话，价格会不会很贵？我很
喜欢老公公司现在的保险，out of pocket只有500美金，deductible250美金，如果我
自己交钱，延续买这个保险有可能么？谢谢大家！^_^ | g*******e

COBRA provides certain former employees, retirees, spouses, former spouses,
and dependent children the right to temporary continuation of health
coverage at group rates. This coverage, however, is only available when
coverage is lost due to certain specific events. Group health coverage for
COBRA participants is usually more expensive than health coverage for active
employees, since usually the employer pays a part of the premium for active
employees while COBRA participants generally pay the entire premium
themselves. It is ordinarily less expensive, though, than individual health
coverage.

lost due to certain specific events 都包含什么情况？ 自己离职算么？ •
