约二年前，我离开加拿大一稳定的工作，南下美国用TNVisa 干primary Enovia/oracle
EBS/oracle db/Primavera/SQLserver/PeopleSoftDBAbackup/Imaginnow DBA。我们组
dba and middle tier 除我，一philipian（us grow up， primary peoplesoft dba
and high jump dba) 一台湾人（US grow up,primary F5 and weblogic middle tier
dba）外共18人，其他全是老印，而且还要招老印。美国现在共六人。其它全在印度。
manager 不久前升了director，当时他没有告诉我干Enovia,来了后， 因为以前出了事
，他让all people are out of the loop,让我边干边学。以前的primary Enovia DBA
没有留下任何文档走了。当时他说：“I told CIO that you are a Ph D, if you
cannot handle, nobody can handle it (enovia), it is time for you to show
your ability"
近二年的升级（upgrade to 2012Xfrom 2009 version）筹备，基本我一人负责DB, app
tier cluster, print logic, report server, 11 FCS/MCS file server, Exalead
search server, license server etc enovia system upgrade, application由这里的
全老印Developer组 加 infosys,塔塔cognizant， inspiration consultants 负责。
今年一月招了一个新的老印Ram（去年12月interview，我告诉manager 他的zero
background背景很难带,manager 枪毙了二个我推荐的二个老中，其中一个老中ABC背景
非常强，后来想想manager只招老印，当初招我，没有合适的有能力老印, 但manager
告诉全相关人，it is very very hard to find enovia technical people, no
candidate is better than Ram, 真会说谎！）， 跟我学Enovia 从interface
function testing/shell scripting/linux/db 开始。二月初他不满意我带的程度，当
作台湾人面，小老印面 说：“ don’t hide something, otherwise I am going to
fire you. There is no bad students, only bad teachers.” 还指责我的
documentation detail 有问题。三月初托台湾人用中文跟我谈话，”我的mentorship
communication 有问题。Outsource to Indian 不可避免。还试探我是否想离开。我说
：“公司资助我的H1B visa and green card, 我不想再搬家，太累。（我刚抽中H1B，
HR 10月开始办green card 手续。真实的原因是要在canada 找个工作，工资太低， 在
美国找工作，很可能远离老婆孩子，没有greencard,好的稳定工作很难找， 而且一年
半前买了新房, 能忍就忍吧）
4月底，UAT Enovia upgrade 出了问题。主要是小老印配置store and vault 时
ITARSTORE name 多了一个空格成ITAR STORE 导致application upgrade failed. 好了
我成了靶子，我的校验出问题。由于时间紧，这一点我忽视了，而且当时是夜里11点。
Director(originally he was a Manager)找我谈话，“I give you three to five
months and see if you can let Ram work as an Enovia expert independently, if
not I don’t see any value of you in my team. “ My reputation is very
important, don’t tell anybody today’s talk, otherwise I’ll fire you
immediately, CIO granted me the right to fire you in my team. If you cannot
make me be happy, I ‘ll fire you immediately.”, “you need to report
everything to me directly, let Ram answer all emails from the outside, you
are behind, it is your responsibility to ensure everything are all right.。
。。。“check your documents, make sure everyone can follow , but you have
responsibility to verify all….
我感到他对我极不公平，very picky, 我佩服他能把白的说成黑的，对不同人不同面目
出现。Take full advantage of people, and never give you credits. 做的再好不
会表扬你， 但哪怕老印作了一点，then sent an email out, “make a great
contribution to the company etc….”
我心里压力大，找这里的中国朋友谈心里话，他开导我，除了白人，其他种族都喜欢说
fire 人。Average working hours from Monday to Friday is over 11 hours not
including lunch. No bonus, 请教各位前辈，我是否下决心离开还是等到10月占一个
H1B名额再找？找工作的时间，只好放在周末。 | f*****e
